Lalique designed the perfume bottle and most of its other products to be mass-produced, sparking a revolution in the fragrance industry. He has successively produced more than 250 different perfume bottles for French perfumes of "Coty "Worth", "Forvil", "Houbigant" and many other brands.

During the First World War, the Lalique factory had to close. After the war, Lalique's business began to grow rapidly. Due to market demand, Lalique began to design and build a new factory in 1918 in the Vanjan area of Alsace, near the German border.

Completed in 1921, the factory employed more than 600 workers to make die-cast glassware and other glass items. Most of these characteristic products, which seem to be quite Art Deco today, were made by the mould pressing method, and only a few particularly beautiful and delicate pieces were made individually by the lost wax casting method.

By the 1920s or so, Lalique was beginning to develop his own distinct style of glassmaking, and the 1920s-1930s epitomized his prolific design and Art Deco style. Lalique's design style is influenced by some elements of oriental art, classical art and modern art.
