The stress test, also known as a crush or internal pressure test, is a crucial step in ensuring the durability and safety of our products. During the test, the glass perfume bottle is subjected to an internal pressure of up to 15 pounds per square inch (psi) for a set period of time.

 

The aim of the test is to check if the glass perfume bottle can withstand the pressure without cracking or breaking. We perform this test to ensure that the perfume bottles can withstand the normal pressure they are likely to encounter during shipping and handling.

 

One of our Quality Control team members has shared some insights regarding the stress testing process. He emphasized the importance of adhering to strict test protocols to ensure accurate results. The test begins with selecting random samples of finished products to be tested. The bottles are checked for any visible damage such as scratches or chips, as this could affect the test results.

The bottles are then filled with water to remove any air pockets inside and create a more uniform pressure during the test. The bottles are then carefully placed onto a testing machine and subjected to increasing internal pressure. The pressure is gradually increased until the bottle either cracks or breaks until the maximum pressure is reached.

 

The results of the stress test are carefully recorded and analyzed to ensure that the bottles meet the required safety standards. Any bottle that fails the test is rejected and removed from the production line. Our Quality Control team also works closely with the production team to identify and address any factors that may be causing the quality issue.
