Perfume can add the finishing touch to the whole, even if you just wear a T-shirt and favorite jeans. Spraying some perfume can cheer up your date night and help you attract your ideal partner. However, many people have some misunderstandings about how to spray perfume, where to spray perfume, and which perfume to buy. The right and wrong ways of use will bring about different effects, and even affect your performance at night. Fortunately, it is not difficult to use perfume correctly.
Part 1 Preparation for using perfume
1 Find your perfect perfume. Don't just buy it because it's a famous brand. Make sure you like the front and back of this perfume. The top note is the first smell you smell when you approach the perfume bottle. Generally citrus, fruit and vanilla flavors. The front notes usually dissipate very quickly, so the back notes are the most important. The base notes are generally woody and natural. Depending on whether you like it or not, you can spray a little perfume on the inside of your wrist and smell it after 20 minutes. You can also go to a physical perfume store (such as Sephora, or a perfume counter in a department store) for help and choose your favorite perfume.
2 Choose a perfume for day or night use. If you just go to the street, work or go to the beach, try everyday perfume. If you plan to date or eat out, you may have to choose night perfume. Check the label on the packaging. The label usually says "daily use" or "night use". If there is no indication, it can usually be judged by the color of the packaging. Bright yellows and oranges represent spring and are generally perfumes for daily use. The dark blue, red and purple represent night perfume. Night perfume is usually sprayed on or around the neck. Because this type of perfume doesn't last long, and you want to make a more direct impression. In this case, apply a little extra moisturizer to the perfumed area to better maintain the fragrance. Daily perfume is usually sprayed on the hips or below the knees. This is because they will move upward over time and the fragrance will last longer. Therefore, apply some moisturizer around the perfumed area to better maintain the fragrance.
3 Take a shower or bath. It is easier to absorb perfume when the skin is warm and hydrated. Be sure to take a hot bath to open your pores. Use odorless or light-smelling body wash or soap. You don't want them to conflict with the smell of perfume. This is also a good time to moisturize the skin. Use lotion or body oil to open skin pores to better absorb perfume. If you plan to spray perfume on your hair, washing your hair will also help. Make sure to use conditioner to make your hair softer and easier to absorb perfume.
4 Dry the skin. Make sure your skin is dry after warm shower or bath. Otherwise, the perfume will not last long enough, that is to say, it is difficult to reach the back of the knee, neck, and hair. And these parts are the so-called "pulse points", which are most conducive to the fragrance of perfume.
5 Moisturize the skin. If you do not use a moisturizer in the shower, you must use it after drying your skin. Compared to dry and rough skin, smooth and soft skin is easier to lock in fragrance. X Research source X Research source Moisturizer or body oil works best. Squeeze a little moisturizer or body oil in your hands, rub your hands, and then apply to your skin. Vaseline is also a good choice. The perfume will be attached to the petroleum jelly instead of the skin pores, so the fragrance is longer. Take a small amount of petroleum jelly and gently apply it on the skin. The key is to spray on the "pulse points", including but not limited to: feet, knees, elbows, collarbone and neck. Spraying perfume on these areas works best.
6 Spray perfume before putting on clothes. Spraying perfume directly on your clothes can create an unsuitable impression, especially when you are going to a grand dinner date. The effect of spraying on the "pulse point" is much better than spraying on clothes, because perfume will interact with the skin.
