How to judge a qualified cosmetic bottle

Jul 08, 2022

1. Identification of license signs. Imported cosmetic bottles must be marked with the Ministry of Health's "Wei Zhuang Jin Zi" or "Wei Zhuang Jin Preparing Word" symbol. In addition, imported cosmetic bottles must have "three certificates", namely "inbound goods quarantine certificate", "import and export cosmetics label audit certificate", "cosmetic inspection and quarantine CIQ mark". Especially the "Cosmetics Inspection and Quarantine CIQ Mark", each CIQ mark has a set of computer coding numbers. After the CIQ mark on the genuine product packaging box is torn off, the computer coding numbers will be automatically attached to the outer box of the product. Goods and parallel imports may not be affixed with the CIQ mark, while counterfeit goods with the CIQ mark may have two situations:

(1) It cannot be completely torn off from the product packaging box;

(2) After the fake CIQ is torn off, the numbers are on the back of the torn off small disc, not on the commodity.

2. Product sensory identification. In terms of appearance, unqualified or counterfeit cosmetic bottles are often rough, with obvious scars and streaks, the cosmetic bottle cap and the cosmetic bottle body are not tightly engaged, and there is leakage; the printing quality of cosmetic bottles is not as clear as the real one, and the color registration is incorrect. Some products are not delicate enough in structure and uneven in color; some are granular and have impurity spots; some are inflated, moldy, rancid, and smelly; some also have dry shrinkage and oil-water separation.

For cosmetic bottle packaging, there are more and more varieties on the market, from material to appearance to capacity and so on. In fact, by summarizing, the author believes that cosmetic bottle packaging should correspond to the corresponding type according to different positioning. The author summarizes the three levels of positioning. First of all, different cosmetic bottle packaging types should be corresponding to the market consumption positioning of cosmetics. For example, in the consumer market with a lower price, the corresponding cosmetic bottle packaging should be as simple and practical as possible from the material to the appearance, so that consumers will not form the illusion of high prices for the product, and cosmetics can win opportunities on the shelf. On the contrary, for cosmetics that are positioned as luxurious and high-end or for gift giving, the packaging materials and appearance of such cosmetic bottles should be exquisite and high-end. Secondly, a cosmetic brand often has multiple series. Different series should be different in cosmetic bottle appearance including color. For example, the appearance of sunscreen cosmetics should be bright and bright. Finally, the external labels and caps of cosmetic bottles should also be formulated according to different positioning.

In short, all cosmetic packaging should start from the market positioning, from consumer demand, product series to external labels should be specific and targeted analysis.
