Russia Unveils Fighter Jet-Inspired Perfume With Unique Scent
Sep 02, 2024
In a recent development that showcases an interesting blend of technology and fragrance, Russia has introduced a perfume that carries the scent of a fighter jet. The country's perfume guild dedicated this special scent to the fifth-generation Sukhoi fighter dubbed "the Checkmate".
The perfume is said to have captured the essence of the fighter jet's cockpit, featuring notes of metal, leather, and even the exhaust fumes. The creation process involved taking "original samples of the aircraft's metal alloy, glass and leather trim and combining it with light shades of juniper, patchouli and oak moss", as stated by the state-run RIA Novosti news agency.
The 50 ml black perfume bottle is shaped like a knight chess piece, which is also one of the symbols of the fighter jet. It comes in a chessboard-style box, further emphasizing the connection to the jet's nickname.
So far, only visitors to the Dubai Airshow 2021 have had the opportunity to experience this limited edition new aroma. Rostec has not announced plans to put the scent into mass circulation. This unique perfume not only offers a new olfactory experience but also represents a creative marketing approach, combining the allure of a high-tech fighter with the world of fragrance.
